The wizard of odds has different strategies for different games and pay tables.
In a full pay deuces wild game with an optimal strategy players have a return of 100.77%, but there is a simple strategy that is easier to remember with a return of 100.71%.

The best video poker machjines are usually the Jacks or Better machines.
But you have to check the payouts. Look for a 9/6 or a 9/5 machine.
What this means is that on the payline the Flush pays 9 and the straight pays 6 ( 9/6 ). Be sure to look at the payline before you play, I have seen players playing on a machine that pays 8/4 when they are sitting right next to an empty machine that pays 9/6.

If you play poker, bonus poker pays 2-1 on two pair. I’m still trying to figure how to win and bring some home Multi hand machines 3,5,25,100,hands, are fun and I THINK THE BEST GAME ON THOSE ARE DEUCES WILD OOPS sorry didn’t mean to yell. lol
On those machines you need to get a good hand from the deal. You could have a royal flush on a 100 hand game and not get your total bet back.So….. my latest belief to win, (and I have in the past) is to play single handed video poker and if your playing quarters, a max bet- $1.25, hitting a royal pays around $1200.00. Done that 6-8 times. Multi hand is a lot more fun, but you can lose real fast. They have 100 play for 1 cent. Playing max per hand is 5 cents X 100, or $5.00 bucks per hand. One theory I had on winning was to hit and run. Every machine has ups and downs, so hopefully hit a lousy machine on an up cycle. Hit or miss, just play about 5 - 10 hands and move on. Good luck helps also- thinking you can win is a must.

Wrong, double wrong, and triple wrong.
The best paying video poker machines you can find are Deuces Wild with this pay table (bottom to top): 1, 2, 2, 3, 5, 9, 15, 25, 200, 800. These machines will pay out 100.77% with perfect play. Yes, that means you’ll WIN in the long run.
And yes, these machines do exist. I know a bunch of casinos in the Las Vegas area that have them, but they’re all off the strip.

Matt’s right…if you find a place that offers “Full Pay Deuces Wild”, it pays significantly higher than JoB at 100.76%. “Full Pay All-American Poker” is not far behind at 100.72%. 10/7 Double Bonus pays 100.17%.
The problem is a lot of casinos don’t offer these types of payout tables. And in some states, it’s actually against state law to do so.
